((--I love Finches/Birds--))

"Finches are a joy to watch as they prepare their nest and raise their young."

Welcome to Ilovefinches:

Hello and Welcome :=). My name is Summer. I'm 23 years old, live in West Des Moines, IA. One of my favorite hobbies is breeding birds, especially finches. I have always loved finches as long as I can remember. I received my first pair of Zebras when I was 12. My dad have got it for me as a birthday present, ever since than I fall in love with them. They are a lot of fun and very easy to take care of. Not a lot of work involved but cleaning and feeding. I love to sit and watch them grow. Currently right now, I have Gouldians, Owls, Shaft-tails, Java, Societies & Zebras (total 20+plus finches).

All of my finches are healthy and beautifully colored. I believe if you're thinking about getting any type of birds. My suggestion: It's always better to get it from a breeder then the Pet store. Because (pet store) they don't really take good care of their animals. You'll find yourself to buy a plucked and balded finch, without noticing until afterward. And most of the time, the Associate who worked there don't know much about the finches. They can tell you, "This one is a female and you'll end up coming home with a male". OR if they don't know they'll make up something.

Enjoy my website and feel free to browse through. Thank you.
